Buying a Gift on a Budget

It can be very difficult not to mention, time consuming when you’re trying to buy a good gift for someone especially on a budget.  You think to yourself, “If I go to the mall, I’ll definitely find great gift ideas and hopefully come back home with something”, hours later, you go home empty handed, feeling frustrated about the endless possibilities, wondering what you can afford and more confused than when you first started.  Sounds familiar?

Well, buying a gift doesn’t have to be a nightmare at all.  A good market to explore when you’re looking for something special and of good quality are fragrances.  There are many perfumes, colognes and gift sets to choose from. You can purchase designer fragrances that are reasonably priced from discount stores, drug stores or from online discount retailers.

There are some things to consider before you go out the door to buy the perfume or cologne your looking for, to ensure a successful gift giving experience.

When you’re selecting a fragrance as a gift for someone, be sure to acquaint yourself with the recipient’s fragrance style.  There are different scents that are known as classification notes.  These notes describe the type of fragrance such as Floral, Floral  Bouquet, Green (pronounced cut grass or cucumber – like scents) Aquatic, Oceanic, or Ozonic (these have a clean scent) Citrus (freshening scent) Fruity and Gourman (edible or dessert – like qualities) By knowing what fragrance notes the person likes, you can easily choose a scent that is in  the same family and that will be to their liking, this is true for both men and women.
Always be mindful that the gift is about the recipient.  Just as there are different personalities in the world, the same is true for perfumes, many people like strong scents over milder ones and vice-versa, it’s all about preference.  Although, classification notes are very helpful, you’d be surprised to know that there are strong and mild fragrances in each category, be very mindful of this when making your selection.
Now that you’ve acquired some knowledge about perfumes, it’s time to decide on how many pieces your gift will consist of.  Single perfumes/colognes are great all by themselves, however, there are many gift sets that will not only have the fragrance of your choice but  will include a body moisturizer, bath salts, shower gels, after shave, deodorant, soaps etc.  Gift Sets not only make for a more appealing and impressive gift, but, they offer the advantage of layering the fragrance.  When you layer you’re fragrance it is more lasting than if you don’t, often times you and your clothes will smell like it until the very next day.
There are many Designer Fragrances in today’s market, however, there are those that seem to really excel at bringing quality for the money.  Some design houses to choose from  would be Revlon, Coty and Dana.  They offer a large selection of women’s perfume and men’s cologne including gift sets at great prices.

Probably the best part of buying gifts like these are the endless possibilities.  Perfume and cologne fragrances always are sure winners for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduations, Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas and virtually any other time of the year.  There’s no need to worry about a particular size, color or calories it just doesn’t get any better than this.

Men’s Colognes and Women’s Perfumes make for a great gift on a budget, that will never go out of style and will always be welcomed and appreciated by your loved one’s.
